Stephanie Hicks was born and raised in Graham, North Carolina, where she still resides with her husband; artist and illustrator C.K. Hicks, their youngest son Isaiah, and two beloved feline companions, Mallory and Lana. She also has two grown children; Whitney and Dylan, and six grandchildren. A lifelong storyteller with a deep love for Southern landscapes, folklore, and faith, Stephanie draws inspiration from the people and places that have shaped her.
